The Oscillator Volatility Index is designed to assess market conditions. It identifies three states:
Values below 38.2 indicate a trending market, while values above 61.8 indicate a flat market. Values close to 100 indicate unstable integration.
This indicator has four configuration parameters:
CI = 100.0 * log10( SumATR / (Max High - Min Low)) / log10X
log10X = log10(period) ATR = ATR(1) SumATR - the sum of ATR during the period MaxHigh - the maximum high value within the period MinLow - the minimum low value within the period
