How to get involved in this topic:
There are 2 requirements to participate.
1-2 must-read books The Nature of Trends by Ray Barros
Evidence-Based Technical Analysis by David R. Aronson
2- Be able to write your own indicators, at least a basic oscillator, which will form the basis of everything else in this thread. I will not provide any oscillators.
What this thread typically compromises:
1-Key components of MMLC v12 broken down and explained in detail
2-Methods to find edges through frequency distribution and probability
3-Continuous research for continuous improvement
The idea is to ensure that #1 and #2 can be easily replicated by other independent entities. Why did I decide to take this approach? I realize that if #1 and #2 cannot be easily replicated by other independent individuals, it simply means that part of my trading logic is actually not logical at all and is subjective. This opens up the possibility...
A-Weaknesses that can become blind spots
B-Strengths that still remain in the subconscious mind
...where the scientific method attempts to reduce objectively in order to increase accuracy and encourage authenticity. Both A and B need to be unlocked, broken down and properly disposed of.
This is also an advantage for myself. If I'm down physically/emotionally/mentally it becomes a failsafe and my job will be able to succeed/outlive me and the trading results will still continue with or without me. Close to 99% mechanized. At any rate, this is the ideal of science.
