Art Phantom EA (Art Phantom EA) | Foreign exchange EA download-MT4/MT5 resources
First of all, this thread is a little modification of the original EA in the Basket 14 EA system thread. Many thanks to MC and everyone who contributed. I'm starting a new thread because I think this EA has enough potential to merit its own thread.
If you want to understand exactly how EA works, you must read Basket 14 EA System. I'm not going to explain things that MC used to do better than anyone else.
This EA is called D'Artagnan's Art Phantom because it only performs real trades on 3 relevant currency pairs per trading session: Euro during the London session, USD during the New York session, and Japanese Yen during the Tokyo session.
The three currency pairs are: EUR/JPY (Athos), USD/JPY (Porthos) and EUR/USD (Aramis), the three musketeers. Every 60 minutes in one version, 30 minutes in another (Tim's suggestion), and every 15 minutes in the last version, d'Artagnan can call on one (sometimes two) of the Three Musketeers to achieve a goal (PP). Musketeers can only be used once, twice, or four times per hour, depending on the version.
The trade could be: buy Athos, sell Porthos and sell Aramis, so if d'Artagnan calls the three Musketeers and they all come together at the same time, we have "all for one, one for all", which is a perfect synthetic hedge. So with just 3 pairs, if the market goes against our position, we can get to that situation very quickly and the DD will be under control very quickly.
This EA follows a very simple strategy: it opens real trades only if virtual trades on this currency pair are profitable and all previous real trades on this currency pair are profitable.
We have 3 versions:
1.- Art Phantom Extreme: Possible call at 0, 15, 30 and 45 minutes.
2.- Art Phantom Full: May be called at 15 and 45 minutes.
3.- Artistic Phantom Lamp: May call in 15 minutes.
DD is similar in all versions, but with Extreme we have to reach the situation faster, the recovery has to be faster and the profit target can be reached with fewer currency pair moves. Obviously, transaction volume will also increase.
The Three Musketeers can use different swords: EUR/JPY, USD/JPY, EUR/USD; or GBP/USD, EUR/GBP, EUR/USD; or GBP/JPY, EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY (Charvo's suggestion) or any other currency you want to try.
I'm not a coder, I just made (anyone can) a very simple change: just open Metaeditor and try to use the compiler to check for errors. You'll learn a lot if you try.
These EAs are in their first testing phase, so they need more time to accurately understand their performance.
About the setup: Using a 10.000.-$ demo account, 500:1 leverage, MMTU = 0.4 and PP = 1.0 seems to work well.
Art Phantom Full: since November 18, 2010, profit: + 3,46%, maximum DD: - 6,10%, minimum margin: 1.482,63%, actual floating profit and loss: + 18,21.-$, 8 transactions open.
Using this EA, a move of 26 pips is enough to reach the 1% profit target, as I saw last Friday, so the potential is very high.
enjoy it.
