Playing with the currencies: Gabin System

Hi Traders In the picture in #post 2 we can see the movement of 8 currencies in one time period. The main method of trading is to wait for the two currencies to cross and open a position in the good direction. Unfortunately I never had good results because a cross was often followed by a cross in the other direction. So I tried another approach, thinking that if a currency is very strong (or weak) relative to other currencies, then its move is either over or close to being over. But I need a good indicator to compare the strength (or weakness) of this currency with other currencies. Ezios did it... thank you.
This indicator modified by Ezios shows 2 important parameters: DeltaUp and DeltaDown.
illustrate :
Currency in first position; Value of Currency (VUC)
8th Currency: Value Lower Currency (VLC)
Average of 7 other currencies: (A7OC)
Calculation: DeltaUp = VUC - A7OC, DeltaDown = A7OC - VLC.
You understand how to calculate the strength compared to 7 other currencies.
Example :
In the image from #post 3, the currency at the top is USD and the price is 7.0.
The average of the other 7 is (6.6+5.9+5.1+3.7+3.1+3.1+1.4)/7 = 4.1
So DeltaUp is 7.0 - 4.1 = 2.9....DeltaDown is calculated the same way.
The higher the delta, the more likely it is that the currency will be returned to someone else.
practise :
I live in France... so the London session is perfect for me... 30m before opening, until NY opens... sometimes later I set delta = 4.4. As soon as DeltaUp or DeltaDown reaches this value, the indicator displays an order.
If DeltaUp > 4.4, we sell the upper currency basket. If DeltaDown > 4.4, we buy the lower currency basket.
To trigger orders, there are many tools. I use a dashboard power meter V3 cust_Curr.
Sometimes the market goes against us right from the start. I trigger another order at delta = 4.8 and another at 5.2.
Of course, SL is absolutely required.
You can see another indication on the indicator...Delta 1/8.
Delta 1/8 is a calculation of the higher currency versus the lower currency. The optimal value for Delta 1/8 is 7 or higher.
In this case, the indicator displays sequentially. So you can only trade currency pairs, not baskets.
closure :
Depends on your trading style. I'm waiting for the currency to be in the middle of the board (position 4 or 5) to close the trade.
I also highly recommend using locking tools to protect your earnings (see post #39)
Currently, Ezios and Faryne are developing an EA to automate trading using the same triggers and 3 delta levels as the indicator.
For example, for the currency with a high US dollar, the US dollar basket is sold at 4.4 for the first time... the US dollar basket is sold at 4.8 for the second time, and the US dollar basket is sold at 5.2 for the third time.
Of course, traders can set delta levels according to their own trading style (spacing the delta during volatility)
If there are coders who want to cooperate with us, they are welcome to improve the Gabin system.
