DAX Forex EA is a powerful and exciting MT4 index EA for trading the US30, also known as DJ30 , Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), Dow30, and DE40 (also known as DAX40/GER40) indices . It trades based on a breakout strategy in the early hours of the European session.

Index trading is very different from spot FX trading; it requires more specialized skills due to the higher number of changes. Backtesting indices is not as simple as Forex because many brokers use different numbers of digits after the decimal point. Some quote spot prices, some quote futures prices, some have expiration dates, and some do not.

For example, DAX might look like 14534.00 or 145.34 or 14534.0, thus allowing multiple variations of quotes for the same trading instrument. Additionally, EAs work at specific times of the day (default preset is GMT+2) and broker hours may vary from broker to broker and you need to adjust the EA trading hours. So be sure to check your broker’s quotes and times.

Every simple trade opened by the DAX40 EA is protected by a fixed stop loss of around 25 pips, and only a maximum of 5 trades are opened per day. Orders are always closed or removed for the day, and dangerous trading methods such as martingales, layers, grids, or other average positions are never used . Its exit consists of a trailing stop exit triggered by "X" number of gain points.

Every trade uses the same user-defined lot size. The lot increasing technique is not used. (Although Dow30 EA has a recovery feature for advanced/experienced EA users) Expert has additional controls for expert EA users who prefer to use box stops instead of fixed stop losses, fixed take profit and increase after loss options. But for first-time users or newbies, it’s very easy to set up and use.
