EMA (Exponential Moving Average) is a well-known and widely used indicator. More information about it can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moving_average
It's rare that someone changes something in the EMA calculation. In one of their old work, Bob Fulks and Alex Matulich proposed (as part of T3 calculation improvements) to change the way EMA is calculated to reduce EMA lag. This version is using the way they suggested. For lack of a better name, the name given is "rapid ema"
You can use this version in the usual way - the change in color can be used as a signal
To understand what it's about, in this example the colored line is the "fast ema" and the gray line is the "regular ema" with the same parameters
