Jurik Smoothing (unlike Jurik Average - the Jurik Smoothing we use in MetaTrader 5 is actually an indicator done entirely using MetaTrader 5 and was not developed by Mark Jurik, but the name is retained since its basic theory is similar to Jurik Average) is very sensitive to price changes and very smooth, which makes it a very good candidate for this type of trend evaluation.
Some experimentation is recommended, but all in all it should work with the same parameters for different symbols and timeframes.
