There is one little-known part about Jurik smoothing: Jurik smoothing is an adaptive indicator.
It uses what is sometimes called Jurik Volty (a type of market fluctuation) to adapt. This indicator calculates and displays periods of increased or decreased volatility as a standalone indicator. The parameters are simple:
This indicator uses no other parameters.
PS: Don’t forget that this indicator has no direction. Color changes show periods of above or below average volatility, rather than the expected direction of market price.
