Keltner Channel is usually calculated as the SMA (Simple Moving Average) +- ATR distance of the band.
Since the SMA is the slowest moving average, here is a version of the calculation using a "faster" moving average: the JMA (Jurik Moving Average), which is also known for its smoothness. This should help respond to volatile markets more quickly.
