PGO (Pretty Good Oscillator) is a very old indicator.
This version can also use Timm Morris MA to smooth the PGO values (filtering out some erroneous signals). The usage of this indicator is common: check for zero crossings for changes in the direction of the long-term trend and changes in the slope of changes in the direction of the short-term trend.
