Hoechst oscillator. Two Indicators: The Hurst Oscillator and the Hurst Band This is described in Jim Hurst’s book The Magic of Stock Trading Timing
This indicator has two input parameters:
HO = MA - CMA[Period/2-1]
CMA = SMA(PRICE_MEDIAN, period) MA = SMA (flow value, smoothed)
flow value = high
- If close < previous close
flow value = low
- If close == previous close
Traffic value = (highest price + lowest price)/2
