Based on the 1-hour price chart of Gold (XAU/USD) , this indicator first plots the Fair Value Gap (FVG) as a green box. The center line of the box represents 50% of the "FVG" imbalance area.

When the price returns to this level, it provides favorable conditions for entering a buy (long) trade.

Imbalance Detector in Downtrend

Similar to an uptrend, on the 5-minute price chart of EUR/USD , the gap between two non-adjacent candles is marked with a red box. The chart shows that the price has returned to the bearish 50% of “FVG” before resuming the downtrend.

Indicator Settings

• Color Theme: Background theme;
• Show FVG: Show fair value gap;
• FVG’s Minimum Filter: Minimum size filter for detecting fair value gaps;
• Minimum size of FVG: The expected value for identifying fair value gaps is set to 10;
• Show OGs: Show opening gaps;
• Minimum Size of OG: The amount required to determine the fair value gap is 10;
• Minimum filter for OG: Minimum size filter used to identify opening gaps;
• Show VI: Display volume imbalance.
