The Hurst index difference calculates the Hurst index based on the fractal dimension. It is based on the fractal model, on which the indicator FGDI ( Fractal Dimension Indicator ) is based.
It has two tunable parameters:
If we assume that price changes follow a multifractal model, then changes in the Hurst index can be seen as predictions of changes in volatility, which provide time for market entry decisions (with positive oscillation values) in order to profit during periods of high volatility.
This indicator only predicts an upcoming increase in volatility. Directional indicators should be used to define trading direction.
A sudden strong burst of the oscillator line in the positive range of the indicator value is a warning sign.
