John Ehlers uses bandpass filters (originally posted here: Bandpass Filters ) to calculate so-called "market patterns". This method is used to calculate the average of the peaks and valleys and if the band pass filter is above or below these levels, the market pattern determines its position relative to these levels. This version changes this and uses interrupted signal lines to achieve significant levels.
