The idea is simple: the indicator shows when prices closed below the upper Bollinger Bands or below the lower Bollinger Bands. Some people use it as a reversal signal and some people use it as a trend signal. If you are using it for reversals, use a slightly higher swing bias than you would for the start of a trend
