Smoothed CCI - MetaTrader 5 Script | Trading Script Download - MT4/MT5 Resources - MetaTrader 5 Resources

The original CCI (Commodity Channel Index) is calculated using the so-called mean absolute deviation. This version uses standard deviation instead. Also, to make it less "strained" (which is probably one of the biggest reasons why CCI isn't as popular as it is now), pre-smoothing using a double-smoothed Wilders EMA and generating signals at zero crossings was added

PS: It is one of the "Need for Speed" series - suitable for use with custom calls. Setting the ema period to <=1 will produce results similar to "regular" CCI, but do not confuse it with it: because standard deviation is used here, it is not and will not be the same as the built-in CCI

Both automated trading tools and foreign exchange indicators should first undergo backtesting, simulated account observation, and small capital verification. Pay special attention to spreads, slippages, maximum drawdowns, position opening frequency, stop loss methods, trading periods and broker rules, and avoid direct real-time execution based only on titles or short-term profit descriptions.
