2-Pole Butterworth Filter - MetaTrader 5 Script | Forex Indicators Download - MT4/MT5 Resources
This indicator was created by John Ehlers and described in his book "Cybernetic Analysis of Stocks and Futures" on page 192. This is one of its many noise reduction filters. Please read it yourself.
In the book "Cycle Analysis for Traders Advanced Technical Trading Concepts" by the same author, on page 32, another method of calculating the same indicator is given. You can get the indicator code containing both calculation methods, as well as the MT4 version of both indicators through the author's Telegram channel .
