Judging from a forum post, there is no "pure Metatrader 5" version of this indicator. Some explanations from Ehlers (the rest are in the original TASC V32.8 article):

Early trend detection

This is one way to spot a trend early and know how long to stick with it.

Trend trading is a favorite technique among technical analysts. Trends are usually detected by following some kind of change in a moving average. The problem with this approach is that moving averages always introduce lag because they require a relatively large amount of historical data to form a reliable indicator. This article introduces the Quotient Transform, which manipulates indicators in a non-linear manner that not only produces early trend detection, but also provides the ability to understand how long a trend lasts.

Quotient Transformation Mathematics

Transform is a convenient device that changes indicator waveforms to better explain the meaning of various indicators. They introduced zero lag in the indicator, which is a good thing. For example, the Fisher Transform changes any indicator probability distribution to something close to a normal probability distribution, with the result that visibility peak turning points are highly amplified.
