I have written the attachment EA. I have no coding background and have been learning MQL4 for the past two weeks.
I have successfully built the backbone of this EA using the MQL4 code generator and then adjusted it manually. I've run this in a backtest, but haven't had much success in getting the logic to enter and exit a trade when I wish to execute it.
I basically came to the following conclusion from the Bollinger Bands system based on the standard 20,2,2 indicator based on the 15 minute chart:
If you run the appender, you'll find that sometimes the entry point is delayed by 1 line or more, and sometimes the code misses the entry entirely.
Is there anyone with more experience than me who can help me solve this very frustrating problem. I would really appreciate any feedback.
