The calculation formula of the PCCI (Perfect Commodity Channel Index) indicator is as follows:
PCCI(bar) = closing price(bar) – FATL(bar)
It is similar to D. Lambert's Commodity Channel Index through its calculation method.
In fact, the CCI index is calculated as the standardized difference between the current price and its moving average. PCCI is calculated as the difference between the day's closing price and the statistical expectation represented by the FATL value. Therefore, PCCI is more effective than CCI.
The PCCI index is the high-frequency component of exchange rate fluctuations normalized by its standard deviation.
