The Camarilla equation system was implemented by Nick Stott in the late 1980s.
The Camarilla equation consists of 8 or 10 levels (in future modifications) that are calculated by using the open, close, high and low prices of the previous trading session and a set of instructions on applying these levels in trades.
The levels are divided into two groups. The first level is built downward from yesterday's closing price and is represented by the L symbol (for "lowest price") and is numbered 1 to 5. Likewise, the second set of levels is built upward from yesterday's closing price, represented by the H symbol (for "highest price"), and is also numbered from 1 to 5.
Note that Level 1 and Level 2 values are relatively small and are generally not considered. As for the L5 and H5 levels, although ignored in some sources, they should always be considered.
