Sidus - indicator for MetaTrader 5

This indicator is based on the first version of the Sidus trading method. It shows market entry points.

“Sidus Method” trading strategy algorithm:

The best thing about the Sidus method is that you don't need to add any additional filters. Losses can occur when using this method, but are uncommon. This strategy makes foreign exchange trading quite profitable. The idea is very easy to understand and it is easy to find the market entry point and open a position.

Main parameters of the "Sidus Method" strategy:

The 18 ЕМА and 28 ЕМА moving averages are two moving lines that form a tunnel. This feature helps you find and identify the beginning and end of long-term trends. The 5 WMA and 8 WMA will show you where to enter the market in the direction of the trend and help you evaluate the strength of short-term trends.

Market entry signals according to the “Sidus method” :

We should only enter a position if the tunnel is very narrow or intertwined:

Also, be sure to close your position as soon as the tunnel boundaries start to overlap or they converge and become similar to a moving average. This is a very good sign that the current trend is changing. If you notice this, you should close your open position and open a new one in the opposite direction.

Be alert in case you have a position and the 5 WMA and 8 WMA are tunneling. If the tunnel boundaries haven't intersected yet, then all is well, but in most cases, this is the first sign that they will meet soon. So get ready to close your position.

The indicator was first implemented in MQL4 and published in the code base of mql4.com on October 25, 2007.
