It is often said that the reversal candlestick model should be applied only when the market is at high/low price levels. The Difference Index indicator is used to define these levels. ie. When the histogram bars are blue and rise above overbought levels, you must search for candlestick combinations that signal a downward reversal. Vice versa, if the histogram bar drops below oversold levels and changes color to red, see if it is consistent with some upward reversal candlestick pattern.
Although you can use fixed overbought/oversold levels (3-10%, depending on the market and indicator parameters), in this version the levels are calculated dynamically. The behavior is as follows:
