The Stochastic Oscillator identifies flat conditions in the market. If it is flat, the indicator and signal lines are tightening and are located at the values of 45 and 55. Tightening Bollinger Bands are standard for this condition. The critical value of Bollinger Bands tightening is captured by half of its bandwidth and is defined by the indicator input parameters:
Input units flat = 100 ; // Flat size (in points)
The indicator was first implemented in MQL4 and published in the code base on March 24, 2014.
