Grid strategies are very popular, but have their own drawbacks. One of the main disadvantages is that using indicators you can enter the market in the wrong direction at the beginning of a strong trend and lose your deposit.
The BreakTrend indicator solves this problem. It signals when a strong move has occurred and a reversal or pullback is likely. It measures the number of pips the price has passed over a specified number of bars.
The settings are different for each currency pair and time frame.
The indicator was originally written in MQL4 and first published in the code base on April 28, 2014.
