Guppy (Long and Short) - MetaTrader 4 Script | Forex Indicators Download - MT4/MT5 Resources

This indicator was developed by Daryl Guppy. It consists of 6 EMAs of 3, 5, 8, 10, 12 and 15 periods, giving you the direction and strength of the short-term trend (speculator trend). It is used in combination with six other sets of EMA to measure the direction and strength of long-term trends or big investor trends. This set of EMAs has periods of 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, which is what Daryl Guppy calls the daily timeframe. This indicator is designed for analysis and trading on daily timeframe charts, but can also be used on other timeframes with the same period and settings, such as M15 or H1.

I made these indicators so that you can change the type of moving average, period and applied price, namely: High, Low, Open, Close, Typical and Weighted prices used to calculate the moving average. You can change it yourself to trade on other timeframes you feel more comfortable with, or to make the indicator more sensitive to small changes in the current trend.

Both sets of EMA can be used to measure the agreement or disagreement between these two types of traders (investors and speculators). This can give you a better understanding of this battle between them, and the likelihood of better positioning yourself to support current trends or upcoming changes.

I must say that when two sets of EMAs are parallel and close, whether between them or between groups, investors and speculators are basically in agreement, and the major moves are very close. As I read in Market Wizards, just like in the old days on crowded Wall Street, the room was silent and the prices were motionless, and after a while the wild price swings made people ecstatic.

I have to say, I am not a programmer, I just made this indicator for myself and now I want to share it.

In the second version I added the possibility of moving the moving average as recommended by file45.
