Indicators that provide simple and clear instructions are very popular in the Forex market. Supertrend trend indicator is one such tool. Instead of displaying its values in a separate window, it displays them directly on the price chart, which is very convenient.
In an uptrend, the indicator line is colored green and located below the price chart. In a downtrend, it is colored red and lies above the price. This indicator can be used in a variety of ways. The simplest is to buy when the super trend line is drawn in green and sell when the super trend line is drawn in red. In more advanced variants, evaluations are done on advanced timeframes, such as H4, and trading is done on smaller timeframes, such as M15, to dominate the trend. Another application option for this indicator is to use its lines as resistance and support levels. That is, one should wait until price approaches this line and roll back from it to trade.
The indicator was originally written in MQL4 and first published in the code base on June 19, 2015.
