I often ask on forums: "Which computer is suitable to choose to get the best performance terminal for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5?" This question is interesting for many people upgrading or buying a new computer, focusing on the performance of the computer MetaTrader, which one is better to buy? Intel based or AMD based? How much and what kind of RAM should there be? Which motherboard? Which drive to choose for data storage: SSD or HDD?

The developers praise МetaТrader 5 for its performance and ultra-fast terminal, but how can an average trader or amateur programmer check the words of the developer himself? Write some code? But which one? What to check with? How to compare the performance of МetaТrader 4 and МetaТrader 5 at all?

Anyway, I thought about it for a while and decided to write a tester script MetaTrader 5 terminal for checking the performance of PC and MetaTrader 4.

Part of the code was taken from testing the new MQL5 compiler for the x64 platform - increasing calculation speed by 2 to 10 times! topic.

What I did was merged the code of all the tests into one script and added all this code through one class i.e. Script Test PC and Terminal There are two types of programming: procedural and object oriented programming. I also added some tests related to the rendering of graphics objects, their displacement and deletion, plus a test for handling the CCanvas class, plus a measurement of the speed of the CopyRates function operation when copying for 1,000,000 minutes. 45 tests in total.

Additionally, scripts can be used to check the honesty of VPS and VDS hosts (by comparing performance during testing).

You are welcome to participate in the test using my computer as an example. I ran this test on my computer at maximum performance with a blank boot.

How the script works: Once started, the script will step through the test, create and delete everything needed for the test, and finally open a results table itself.
