General information

For every candlestick on any time frame, there is a corresponding number of price movements to form it. On Forex charts, this feature appears as volume, although it has no direct relationship to actual volume. However, tick volume data can be used in the same manner as real volume data.

Information about the price changes that occurred before the additional indicator is taken from the special price change file, which is available in the tick collector . Ready-made tick file archives are also available from the following locations. If historical rendering is not required, then the indicator value will be displayed in real time whenever new quotes arrive.

About the ClusterBox_Histogramm indicator

Unlike the ClusterBox_Histogramm indicator which shows the number of ticks for each cluster within a single candlestick, the ClusterBox_Histogramm indicator calculates the number of ticks for a cluster (which combines several candlesticks). That is, the specified candlestick interval is treated as individual candlesticks divided into clusters. For each such cluster, count the number of ticks in it.

The blue and light blue lines on the chart — total amount of ticks per one cluster. The precise value of this number is displayed to the right of the rectangle, that bounds the data collection interval. The colors of these lines depends on the amount of ticks and values ​​of the setting parameters of the "Min. volumes and colors" block.

Red and green lines - the number of ticks for each falling and growing price respectively. Set in the "Volume Increment" parameter block.

Set data collection intervals by moving and/or dragging the rectangle.
