This is a simple indicator that calculates a moving average based on the currently viewed time frame.
The calculation is usually based on a timeframe window and a defined moving average period.
The picture below is Exponential moving average showing closing prices on the M15 time frame with a period of 16.
The chart below shows the exponential moving average of closing prices on the M5 time frame, with a period of 48.
Both charts show the same moving averages on different time frames relative to the market structure.
