ATR% is the ATR volatility indicator expressed as a percentage. It measures the average true price range over a specific period, taking into account not only daily highs and lows, but also possible price gaps.
100% in this indicator is the maximum possible volatility of the asset. In most cases, on junior time frames, the value of ATR% is as high as 3%, on advanced time frames, the value can be higher.
The formula for calculating ATR% is: ATRP=ATR/closing price*100, where ATR is the average of the largest spread within a certain period, and the closing price is the current price of the asset.
