MA cross alert is a custom MT4 indicator that solves a key problem: MetaTrader's built-in Moving Average displays the line, but cannot Alerts you when price crosses it .

This tool adds missing functionality by giving Instant notification whenever the price changes above or below the moving average . it works for both trend following strategies (trading with the trend) and reversal strategy (Discover counter-trend breakouts).

and MA Crossover Alert , you don't have to sit in front of the chart waiting for price to cross the moving average.

It will alert you immediately when it happens.

It supports all major MA types: Simple (SMA), exponential (EMA), smoothed (SMMA), linear weighted (LWMA) .

This makes it a flexible tool for beginners and advanced traders who rely on MAs.

You can choose how you want to be notified:

Screen alert – Pop-up messages in MT4.

Mobile push notifications – Alerts sent directly to the MT4 mobile app.

Email notification – Send an email whenever a crossover is detected.

⚠️ NOTE: Mobile and email alerts require you to configure notifications in the MT4 platform settings.

In addition to alerts, indicators can visually mark signals:

buy arrow → When prices cross more than master.

Selling arrows → When prices cross the following master.

Optional tag for viewing past signals.

This makes it easy to trace back signals and understand how often crossovers occur.

averaging method – Choose from SMA, EMA, SMMA, LWMA or Hull MA.

Master's degree – The number of candles used to calculate the average.

Applicable price – Closing price, opening price, high price, low price, middle price, typical price or weighted price.

candles for analysis –

Current candle: Triggered once price touches/crosses the moving average. (fast, but may redraw)

Previous candle: It is only confirmed after the candle closes at the moving average. (safer, fewer false signals)

Ignore identical candle crosses – Filter out wash signals caused by candles that open on one side and close on the other.

Number of candles to analyze – Limit checking to the last N candles for faster performance.

Enable notifications – Main switch.

Send alert notification – Screen alerts.

Send notification to mobile phone – Push notifications to your MT4 application.

Send notification via email – Send email alerts when crossings are detected.

Show arrows on cross – Draw buy/sell arrows.

1. Trend Following Strategy <br/>Traders use the 50 EMA as a baseline.

when price closes more than EMA, MA cross alert display buy arrow and send an alert.
