PropGuard MT5 Daily Loss and Max Drawdown Dead-Line Visualizer (Dashboard and Line) - indicator for MetaTrader 5

PopGuard MT5 is a chart window indicator designed for traders who must adhere to strict proprietary company risk rules (daily loss limits and overall maximum drawdown). Instead of watching numbers in a terminal, PropGuard converts your risk limits onto a clear, intuitive chart of price levels - deadlines .

When the price reaches the cutoff line (based on your current exposure), your account will reach the configured withdrawal boundary. This can help you make decisions faster, trade less emotionally, and avoid breaking the rules.

Pillar companies typically define loss limits in monetary or percentage terms (daily and overall). PropGuard translates these constraints to dynamic chart level :

If you are net long , the cutoff line is below the current market price and your allowed losses have been exhausted.

If you are net short , the cutoff line is the price above the current market at which point your allowed losses have been exhausted.

The row updates in real time and reflects:

Open positions on the current chart symbol

Price change value/price change size of the trading instrument (multi-asset compatible)

1) Validity expiry date (main line)
PropGuard always draws the strictest limit to a single "valid" deadline:

Daily or comprehensive (whichever is closer to current price/tighter)

2) Optional separate lines
If enabled, you can also display:

daily deadline

overall deadline

3) Chart Dashboard Panel
Compact panel display:

balance and equity

Daily/Overall Maximum Allowable Loss

Daily/Overall Minimum Asset Level

Long Lots/Short Lots (on this symbol)

Daily and overall deadline prices

Effective rules (daily/overall)

Remaining buffer in currency and pips , with optional warning highlighting

PropGuard supports two common retracement models:

Tracking retracement enabled

Daily Reference: Daily Peak Net Value

Overall reference: Peak total assets

When you reach new stock highs, the cutoff line may move (risk line "trail")

Trailing retracement closed

Daily Reference: Beginning of Day Balance (see note below)

Overall reference: Start-up capital (manually entered)

Deadline is based on a fixed reference value

PropGuard is designed to operate securely and transparently:

There are no open positions for this symbol → the line is hidden and the dashboard shows "No position".

Hedging/near zero net sensitivity (net exposure effectively neutral)
→ The line is hidden and the dashboard displays "Hedge (no expiration date)".

Limit violated → The dashboard displays "Violation!" and the remaining buffer becomes negative.

Maximum Daily DD (%) — percentage of daily loss limit

Overall Maximum DD (%) — Maximum drawdown limit in percent

Trailing Retracement Pattern — peak asset trailing on/off

Account Initial Funding – used when trailing closes (overall reference)

Show daily lines and bus lines separately — show both limits or only valid lines

Dashboard Corner/X Offset/Y Offset —Panel Placement

Line Color/Width —Visual Customization

Warning Threshold (%) — Highlights remaining buffer when approaching violation

Symbol-specific logic: The deadline is calculated for positions only on the current chart symbol .
If you trade multiple symbols, attach PropGuard to each relevant chart.

Beginning of day balance (non-tracking mode): As of version 1.00, "beginning of day balance" is currently an approximation (as noted in the code comments). If you need to derive strict broker day benchmarks from history, this should be implemented as an enhancement.

Visualization tools: PropGuard helps you visualize risk boundaries, but it does not automatically execute trades, close positions, or enforce rules.

Proprietary traders who need to adhere to daily loss and maximum drawdown rules

Traders who want to visualize risk boundaries rather than constantly focusing on stock numbers

Multi-asset traders (Forex, Indices, Metals, Cryptocurrency CFDs) who want a universal sensitivity approach
