Hi gentlemen,

I'm personally a huge fan of heiken ashi charts but recently decided to give the Renko chart a try, it makes patterns extremely clear and noise-free.
Recently, I randomly saw this screenshot (first attachment) on a TSD post and had the following thoughts:

What to do if using (or not using) Renko chart on M1 timeframe with:

index:

*50SMA slope as hourly trend indicator
*ATR 60 as volatility filter
* Stochastic Cross (fast enough settings, 14, 3, 3 or 15, 4, 4/15, 5, 5) as an oscillator
*Quick cross 5EMA/8SMA (FX Bootcamp setup) as entry/exit points

condition:

Filter 1 (Trends):
Only enter long if 50SMA slope > 0
Only go short if 50SMA slope <0

Filter 2 (swings wide enough to eliminate diffusion):
ATR 60>2*spread

Long entry:
Stoch upper crossover, followed by 5EMA/8SMA upper crossover

Short entry:
Stoch Cross Down, followed by 5EMA/8SMA Cross Down

I will be testing the milking strategy on Monday Sydney time and will provide you with more results.
I'm sure we can eventually do something clear and simple with more filters based on this simple setup.
