D1 & h4 divergence and momentum trading (D1 & h4 divergence and momentum trading)
welcome
I've been on a rollercoaster ride on this Forex trading journey, but I won't give up.
Having had time to sit down and re-evaluate my game, I've found that it works better from a daily and 4 hour perspective on multiple currency pairs but still taking entries from the M1 chart.
The strategy is simple:
Find divergence in D1 or H4, wait for momentum to shift, and then find an entry in M1.
I tried it in H1 but found that higher time frame momentum always had an impact on my trades resulting in dismal returns, so now the goal is to find high ADR pairs and track divergences and momentum changes.
Again, entries can be found on M1 TF by waiting for retracement and continuation on D1 or H4, but sometimes - I must warn you, you cannot tell if the retracement is over.
So instead of chasing 8 or 12 pips, I'm targeting a daily net minimum of 30 to 40 pips, which means when my initial signal is green I'll take a new signal and move my first trade to BE.
Targets will be RN, BRN, Pivots and S&R
independent country.
D1 & H4
Stoch 2 2 2
2SMA Closing Level 2 Fibonacci Pivot Point
ICT large and medium-sized enterprises
ICT Asia Conference Scope
P4L clock
M1
Stoch 30 2 2
CCI 30
BB 480 Shift 2 SD 1&2
SMA 2880 (D1 2SMA)
SMA 480 (H4 2SMA)
SMA 30 (M15 2SMA)
ICT large and medium-sized enterprises
ICT Asia Conference Scope
The difficult part is identifying the M1 entry point as it requires measuring whether the price has ended its retracement. Or if there's a new burst of power: so the M1 entry is still fine-tuned, but the standalone settings are over-tuned, doubt I'll tune them any further. (Sorry, still being adjusted)
