Intraday setups with Weekly TF - MT4/MT5 resources
Hello fellow traders,
I want to share a strategy with you, but before that, let me introduce myself briefly because I haven't made any friends here since 2008. I have been trading for 5 years and you can see the date I joined FF. Trading is indeed hard for me and maybe easy for others. But my journey has been difficult since I decided to trade and did all the things I was supposed to avoid. Literally every book or seasoned trader shouts the same thing "discipline to control emotions, do sound money management etc." But it was only recently that I started following these rules. I think discipline is the hardest thing to learn because of all these years of having itchy fingers jumping from one system to another to take another trade. By having discipline it is a very rewarding experience and even after a losing trade you don't feel bad and move on to the next trade (that's just the way it is).
I'm not that person who has enough money to trade and seeing people trading 1 or more standard lots always makes me jealous, so that's why I'm always looking for ways to make my trades profitable. As you may know, the 50:50 winning strategy resulted in 16 losing streaks over 50,000 trades. This is a mathematical fact. Do you know how many losing streaks your system can handle?
Possible winning streak%
30% --- 30
35% --- 25
40% --- 21
45% --- 18
50% --- 16
60% --- 12
70% --- 9
80% --- 7
90% --- 5
So to me, you have to have enough balance or trading equity to be able to withstand 30 losses in a row. So I would guess or assume that 2-3% risk is enough to get started, or at least you will have time to evaluate the win percentage of the system. In February-March I grew a 1.8k account to 10k using this strategy but risking 5-10%.
The idea behind this strategy is definitely not mine, I just made some modifications and I have to give credit to Unleepip from TSD.
rule:
1. Only trade in the WEEKLY TF direction. Long if the previous weekly candle has closed above and short if the previous weekly candle has closed below . (Additional indicator for your visual reference, you can see higher TF in one chart window)
2. Magnify 1H TF.
3. Transactions will be conducted on TEMA and NonLagMa based on WEEKLY (XARD SSA is for your reference only)
Only trade after the crossover is confirmed, which means that after the candle closes, the signal will remain there.
Judging from the screenshots, the first and second transactions are losers, but the third transaction is definitely the winner.
4. If the first trade makes a profit of 20 pips, the second trade will be opened and the third trade will be added after 20 pips.
5. Stop loss 20 points and take profit 60 points
We made 3 trades this week, 2 were losses and 1 was profit.
2 losers -40 points
1 winner gets 120 points, leaving us with 80 points. The idea behind the pyramid is that I have seen at least one engulf or breakout to a new high or low of 50-60 points in 1 or 2 weeks.
How to Manage a Pyramid <br> First trade +20 pips Second trade 0 pips Once we open the second trade, put BE on the first trade so that our risk on the second trade remains the same.
When our third trade begins 40 pips from the initial entry, we calculate BE using the NB I-Breakeven or AverageOrder indicator.
