Fully functioning EA for tkimble's 30min system - accept or improve it (Fully functioning EA for tkimble's 30min)
I started this post firstly to post tkimble's 30 minute part-time wealth building system EA (big thanks to him for sharing), and secondly to start a discussion about optimal setups and trading pairs. This can also mean different time frames, not just the 30 minute chart.
As stated in the published documentation, the EA has quite a few options at its disposal. One thing it doesn't have is a trailing stop feature since the EA was built to my specifications and ts is not my style. Another thing to note is that the EA will take trades as long as the conditions are met, regardless of whether the previous trade did not reach tp or s/l.
The EA was built by another FF member (paid for by me), so it's of a very good standard - I didn't encounter any bugs. For those of you who know me, I'm mostly found in the Daily Fozzy thread, but I started it as a side project a while ago, building an EA and forward testing it.
So why should I share it for free? When I was doing my Fozzy research and e-books, I basically put EA on the back burner. When I stopped forward testing (it was running on 8 currency pairs) the EA was also in the red and only the Japanese Yen cross showed encouraging results. With this in mind and hoping to get some new perspective (since I'm no longer using it), I thought I'd post this to see if anyone finds it useful. The document also contains a link to my website to raise awareness of the work I do.
If you have ideas for improving your EA and have some coding skills, please send me a private message with the code and I will send you the source code version.
All the best and happy transaction
Michael
Note: The results of the forward test can be seen on the main thread in post 485.
