The Ugly Drawdown | Foreign Exchange EA Download - MT4/MT5 Resources

I'd like to start a discussion about retracement, specifically retracement in PipBoxer. I'd like to realistically evaluate PipBoxer's past behavior. There are two main goals I'm looking to achieve with this thread:

  1. Show PipBoxer users/potential users that it is natural to face drawdowns in this system, and depending on the risk management strategy you adopt, you can lose a lot of money before making any money. Sometimes you make money first and then lose a lot of money, depending on when and how you trade PipBoxer.
  2. Improved PipBoxer behavior. This is better suited to the risk management element of PipBoxer. These discussions will hopefully help us come up with best practices for currency diversification and position sizing approaches. Digging deeper into PipBoxer also helps me enhance my strategy.

I would like to emphasize that system traders are not fortune tellers. I'm not in the business of predicting the future. I just try my best - based on quantitative and technical analysis - to find the probability of winning. I also incorporate risk management and money management techniques to enhance the behavior of the system. This is the mentality behind which PipBoxer was built. If someone is looking for a point-in-time manufacturer, this is not his/her field. This area is suitable for serious traders who want to build their portfolio gradually and are not afraid of the dreaded drawdowns.

We welcome any suggestions, comments or questions you may have. I hope this will also help others focused on system building come up with realistic and profitable solutions.
