Intraday Trading MFG System - PA Momentum Flow Guide (Intraday Trading MFG System - PA Mome)
This is a simple trading guide designed to be a tool for identifying the direction of the current momentum wave. This system works for all TFs (and crossed pairs) , causing momentum waves to act on each TF. Let’s not forget that technically, price movements are generated by price wave momentum! That's the point!
The idea is to jump on the price wave early and stay in it until the power of momentum kicks in. Good entry confirmation can be done from the momentum direction of higher TF + some general market conditions such as good volatility and price efficiency .
I recommend using this system for day trading . Regardless, the rules can also be applied to the H1, H4, D1 and W1 timeframes.
System signals should not be blindly connected in series as they occur. The MFG system serves only as a guidance source. Its template can be switched from one minute to one month (the parameters will change). System signals work as follows:
Bullish momentum is strong ( Assessment for long trades) :
- Price is above the red MA (T3)
- Red MA (T3) is above blue MA (Gann HLA)
- CCI crosses zero level (confirmation signal)
Exit signal ( evaluation for trade exit):
First condition (light signal): price closes below the red moving average (for long trades); above the red moving average (for short trades)
Second condition (relevant signal): First condition + CCI below zero level (for long trade) or CCI above zero level (for short trade)
Third condition (strong signal): first and second conditions + red and blue moving averages cross again
General exit conditions: price touches S/R levels, trend lines, pivots, Fibonacci, divergence, if price is considered OB/OS or other general rules.
SL and MM rules ( plan your trading efficiency):
It is recommended to always set a stop loss when trading! Stop loss orders can be placed a little outside the blue MA, this is a general rule. The SL may also be placed closer. It's wise to protect your profits with trailing stops and keep your account's risk to less than 3% on each trade. Find a good risk reward setup.
Technology trend calculation:
(It is more profitable to trade trend patterns that have just formed)
-Using MFG this system determines the actual wave momentum that is 2-3 higher than the TF you are trading.
- Observe the location of the last highs and lows on the upper TF.
- Observe whether the higher TFs expand through fractal breakouts or if they stay between the upper and lower fractals.
- Observe the average slope of the trending price flow on higher TF.
- Observe recent price movements at higher TF and in the direction of greater volatility.
I highly recommend this guidance system to beginners because of its simplicity and the ability to observe how price action works. This experience may be very important for their future trading career. Thousands of indicators or thousands of entry/exit rules can confuse and blind every aspiring trader.
The template is the basic form, and you can add whatever content you like. It is calibrated against the USD cross currency pair. I made a second one for the yen pair, where m1 and m5 have different parameters. (On both templates, the projection of the 24-hour EMA is drawn from m1 to m30 as the short-term reference MA.)
