Hourly Trend Rider... (Hourly Trend Rider...) | Forex Indicator Download - MT4/MT5 Resources
Hi everyone, this is my first post... In my opinion this is a great site. I've been here for a while, just trying to absorb as much information as possible, and now I feel like I should actually contribute something.
I've tried (demonstrated) many systems, but I find myself going back to the first system I tried. Although it has evolved over time, in my opinion it remains a very simple and effective trading strategy.
I've only used this with these pairings, but in theory it should work with any pairing.
3 pairs -
GBP/JPY, GBP/USD, EUR/USD
index-
5 EMA is about to close
13 EMA will open soon
50 SMA is about to close
ATR 100 cycles
chart-
Daily - for trend confirmation
4H - Stop Loss
1H- Transaction is placed on this TF
Stop Loss-
ATR value on 4 hour chart. Or when the EMA crosses in the opposite direction.
Take profit-
I let the deal take its course. Exit when I get a cross in the opposite direction of the EMA or when I am satisfied with my profit. In other words, I didn't set the TP level.
entry of -
The basic entry point for the position is on the 1-hour chart, which is when the 5-line and 13-line cross. Typically I would wait for the next candle to open after the crossover, or wait for price to retrace to the 5 EMA to enter, to avoid entering at a bad position...
If 5 is then I only trade "hourly" (5 pip crosses 13 pip up).
If 5 is 50 daily then I only trade "" hourly (5 pips crossed 13 pips down).
I'll add them once I figure out how to post some charts.
For those who are unable to trade 1H due to work and family reasons. I have also had successful trades in 4H.
The goal is to understand what the larger trends are and get into smaller time frames
Thank you bang bang
