SRDC level 1 revisited - MT4/MT5 Resources
This method primarily utilizes trading breakouts from the previous day's high or low. This is a high probability setup that can be traded effectively on most currency pairs. Back in 2006, a person with the username Orangeroshan created a thread for his SRDC approach and had quite a following. His approach is based on breakouts of yesterday's highs or lows and what he calls more advanced methods or systems. However in my opinion its basic strategy deserves a lot of points and other supplementary methods are really "just another system". I've attached below the original document Orangeroshan uploaded in his post describing his strategy.
Why do I propose this strategy again? Not because other methods don't work, but because my life circumstances have changed and I don't have as much screen time as I used to. I won’t go into detail about what happened, but Forex trading is still my main source of income. (I started trading full time at the end of 2007). I'm not a fan of automated trading, I needed a quick and decisive way to target high probability setups, and I "rediscovered" this simple yet effective way of trading. Use it with your own technical or fundamental analysis. Pull out a chart of your favorite currency pair and see what happens to PA when these levels are breached.
If anyone is like me and has forgotten how simple and mundane it is to find profitable trades...here's something to share
Please note that I'm not using this strategy exactly as described in the documentation, but rather as a guide and I have my own way of getting more points out of it when the opportunity arises.
