If the strategy is good, the robot should be able to trade successfully,
Eliminate stress and impulsive and costly decisions.
We at Jiva Dragon are grateful for the automated trading system.
JIVA Dragon EA DSS T3MA testv14.2 mq4
For the series currently under development, we use a 15-minute time frame and provide only a small subset of the many features available.
Basic structure:
For long input:
One candle closes below the channel high and the next candle closes above the channel high channel hi, the ea will place an order candle on the 2nd close. Orders can be immediate or pending.
All settings are adjustable.
1. How many pips are needed to place an order?
2. What is the validity time of the pending order (in candles).
3. What is the value of the channel?
The Robby Bressert dss indicator (graphical variant of the regular stochastic indicator) is used to confirm long or short entries, even on multi-timeframes. Various moving averages can be used as needed to ensure that trades are only made in the direction of the main trend. MACD with multi-timeframe options has been added to v14.1.
Open two orders based on a given signal.
This is how trade is managed.
To limit losses:
If the entry goes poorly, stop losses can be set on both positions to limit losses.
Get income:
Trailing stops can be set for both positions.
Limits can be set for both locations.
If the first position reaches the profit target, the EA sets a breakeven stop for the second position. If the second position fails to reach the profit target that may have been set for it and falls back, the loss is stopped at breakeven, resulting in 0 profit/0 loss.
If the second position reaches its profit target, both positions will gain.
If the profit target for the second position is very large, say 300 pips, because we want to try to capture a big move, then the second position may be closed when it reaches 300 pips, or if the candle closes outside the channel in the opposite direction. The position may also be closed if a trailing stop is set and the trade is retraced to the stop loss.
A lot is happening. Busy little...
The Robby DSS Bressert is a stochastic indicator that is displayed as points rather than lines. I like it because it shows the %D and %K intersections nicely as the point color changes. It's easy to see because the points correlate to the candle's closing price.
Many, many thanks to Taiyakixz who is very talented and put a lot of time and thought into building different versions of this robot.
For those who want to use this expert consultant, it will be helpful to use remote desktop vps service. Even if the trader's personal computer is turned off, the remote desktop remains running 24/7.
You will need to put the Robby Bressert dss indicator and T3MA indicator into the mt4 indicators folder in order for the EA to load correctly.
The template included in the v14.2 zip file uses a custom macd indicator, which you need to download to get the template in order to operate intuitively, but this macd indi does not affect the functionality of ea. This is just a visual preference.
If you're new to expert advisors, backtesting, optimization, etc... please visit Geoff65's posts. He does a great job of providing so much useful information for those just starting out. By becoming familiar with some of the basic information he provides there, it becomes easier to keep the conversation on this thread focused on the continued development of this EA, without having to explain some of the very basic steps of getting started with a general EA and being asked the same basic questions over and over again. So please refer to http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=231650. Thanks Jeff...

Good luck.
Please note the differences in results due to different brokers:
The foreign exchange market is over-the-counter, so there is no central clearing of transactions. Therefore, there are subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle differences in prices (e.g. rapidly changing markets, news releases, etc.). Therefore, it is necessary for every trader to understand what subtle changes need to be made to the settings to get the best results. Sometimes, changing a few points of channel settings can make a big difference. It's very personal. The settings in this thread have been adjusted to FXDD, Malta. Fixed spread . We will be adjusting the settings for Alpari UK over the next few days, but we are unable to do this for all brokers. The best way for individual traders to adjust their specific broker's settings is to use the optimization feature in the tester.
There is no use in backtesting at the weekend using a broker with variable spreads. Since spreads are variable, testing must be done when the market is open.

As of October 30, 2010, we have also included "50/50 Statistical Edge Testing". We keep all settings the same except Stop Loss and Take Profit. They are set equal to each other. If the win rate is above 50%, preferably 65% or higher, which is rare but ideal, then we know we are optimizing rather than simply fitting a curve by adjusting settings.
Many thanks to jm2110 for his in-depth critique, which prompted us to adopt this very valuable tool.
Traders, please continue to post your comments, insights, criticisms, questions, etc. Thank you in advance…
3. Offset options need to be set up per broker. The test was run using FXDD Malta, so the setting in the settings file was +3, but different brokers have different gmt offsets. For example Alpari UK, set to +2. This may change with daylight saving time.
Currently we are making 2 small modifications:
1. Close at true break-even (no losses due to spread fees)
2. More sensitive to moving average slope

FXDD and Alpari tested the same...
We will test the settings file posted here:
