Is anyone still trading Mouteki now? (Anyone still trading Mouteki?)
Well, I guess I haven't been active on the forum in quite some time. So, is anyone still actively trading Mouteki?
Just thought I'd mention that I've started reading Thomas DeMark's (TD) book, and even though I've only just started reading it, it already seems clear that pretty much the entire Mouteki method started there.
The only obvious change is that Mouteki is based on 4h TF and uses a simplified 2:1 or 3:1 method to calculate stops. Since the former is more of a matter of preference and the latter is not strictly adhered to by MoutekiTrader (I think he mostly uses fib), it's safe to say that the Mouteki method is very similar to the TD method.
Another small tweak is to use candle openings instead of trendline breakouts. But then again, TD's book covers several other "filters" not mentioned under Mouteki. Of course, the list of nuances can be extended by e.g.: TD prefers to use level 1 TD points, while Mouteki uses fractal/level 2 TD points.
All in all, my post does not mean that MoutekiTrader copied other people's ideas. History shows us many cases where two or more geniuses can come up with the same idea even though they are far apart and have no connection with each other. TD could probably beat MoutekiTrader to write a book. Only God knows. ;-)
