Bag-it: A successful EA based on the Bag (Bag-it: A successful EA based on the Bag)

Hello community,

I first read Bagovino Thread in September 2006. Generally I don't believe in the MA cross system, so I can't even say what made me develop an EA based on it.

Lagging tests are not bad, but who relies on these.

So I did prospective testing. Between early October and early November, 5 TUSD doubled on the demo account. I was still skeptical, so I deleted the account and forward tested again, again getting encouraging results (> +50% in about 2 weeks, see detailed statement).

Therefore, I decided to provide you with access to this EA (see attachment).

1. Why only publish as .ex4? I need resources!

I literally spent hundreds of hours programming indicators and experts and sharing them with the community, only to have others pick up my source code, remove my name, make some changes and publish it as their EA, and in some cases even ask for money for it.

In other cases, people have completely messed up my code but still released them as correct indicators of new releases, which has resulted in others attacking me for the "garbage" I wrote.

So I have my share. I still like to contribute, but I want to control what happens to my projects. This EA actually even has a time limit until February 2006. So far, people have just come to me with bugs, problems, or other things they're not happy with. Now I want to meet people who are actually happy with what I do (if there are any :-/)

2.Ah, you are telling the truth!

No, please send me a private message. I will give you the audit password for your account. It's still running (as long as Alpari let me have it) and you can see it's correct.

3. So what about the setup?

I use GBP/USD, USD/CHF, EUR/USD, USD/JPY H1

Other pairings and crosses should also be possible.

4. How to use the parameters "ExtMaximumRisk" and "<st1lacew:st="on">Batch</st1lace>"?

If "ExtMaximumRisk" is 0, the value "<st1lacew:st="on">bulk</st1lace>" is used for your batch. If it is not 0, the following formula applies:

Account balance*External maximum risk/Account leverage/10

Still, the algorithm checks the existing min/max batches and applies this information accordingly. So even if you use a very conservative ExtMaximumRisk, but your MinLotsize is 1 (as is the case for many demo accounts), the system will trade with 1 <st1lacew:st="on">lot</st1lace>.

5. Wow, what rubbish, you are trading without stop loss/take profit.

Wow, no, it's just invisible and intelligent.

OK, here's the deal:

I lost so much in real trading on "weird" trades involving stop loss/take profit that I became very skeptical. My best trades were crippled by sudden spikes that hit the stop loss (and only on my server!!!), and even during non-news times, the take profit price was ignored for up to 15 minutes, exceeding the take profit price by up to 10 pips, but there was still a chance the trade went all the way down and was killed somewhere in the loss (the stop loss was actually hit :-<).

So I already have it and implement it in my EA "Stealth" Stop Loss/Take Profit. This has definitely improved my trading success rate.

During the experiment, I came up with the idea of making a smart stop loss/take profit set, which means that the stop loss is not a fixed value, but a factor related to the actual pip range (ATR). This means that during periods of low volatility, stops are more sensitive and closer than during periods of high volatility.

Seems to work.

6. Why don't you give us more parameters to optimize, fine-tune and improve the EA?

Because you will fool yourself by over-optimizing. Face it; given the chance, we do it. If this EA loses you money, please delete it and ignore me. If it wins, don't be greedy and try to make more/faster.

7. Do you suggest I trade it for my life?

Yes, if I ask you, how about driving blindfolded?

Do demo tests until you feel tired, during which time form an opinion and decide for yourself.

I will not answer any questions related to the following topics:
- What is the Bagovino method
- How do I set up this EA
- What is MetaTrader
- Why are my backtest results different from your pretest results?
- Model quality
- Wait wait wait

There are so many posts here and on other boards discussing these issues. Google for them...

Sorry if anything here sounds rude. I prefer to be straightforward. It's more effective.

I forgot to mention the NFP feature: the EA calculates the NFP date and will close the position before NFP and will not trade during the NFP period and after.
