EURUSD 5min SMA50-200 price cross swing EA (EURUSD 5min SMA50-200 price cross swing)
I created this simple EA which works like this:
When SMA50 is above SMA200, buy when price breaks above SMA50. When SMA50 is below SMA200, sell when price is below SMA50.
Backtested on EURUSD 5 minute timeframe, SL=75pips, TP=150pips, trailingStartPips=37, trailingStopPips=37, trailingStepPips=1
Noting that using this parameter, the EA can catch large directional moves and make large profits while closing with little loss or breakeven when the market starts to move, I strongly recommend you to conduct a visual backtest of the actual operation of the EA so that you can better understand and develop it according to your needs.
Detailed report for the last 3 months period
equity line
You are free to download, use and backtest the EA, I tried different timeframes and parameters and this seems to be the most profitable if you have a larger data period to backtest and post your results here (I have only backtested the past 3 months, which is not a lot, but EURUSD has had large directional swings and trading ranges during this time, so it should fairly represent all market conditions).
