Flexy Grid EA (Grid Trading)

author EAcpu | 2 reads | 0 comments |
This topic will discuss my EA Flexy Grid.
It's called Flexy because I want it to be flexible and I can place the buy/sell grid manually or automatically.
Personally, I use it manually because I like control. I'm smarter than this EA, and the EA doesn't take into account other variables, namely the news and what I see through my eyes and mind.

Automatic flexible grid. When you click the "Manual" button and it turns into a green "Auto" button, you should see the screenshot shown below. In order to start the EA automated trading, you must click on the "Start" button. It will turn green when you click on it. Basically, the start button is a safety trigger.

The green window in the upper right corner contains information about equity, signals, etc. I think this is self-explanatory, if you don't understand you can ask me.

Anyway, here are 3 pieces of information that may need some explanation, while the rest is self-explanatory.
Line Trading For manual trading, a trade is executed whenever the price crosses the horizontal line object. In order to trade using this method, you must edit the object name by adding _B or _S.
_B is the buying grid, _S is the selling grid.
Purchase Grid Example Horizontal Lines 3951_B

Sales Grid Horizontal Line 3951_S

Grid space is the distance between each order. By default, it is set to 5 pips.

Grid is the number of orders in the grid. This depends on the broker's MT4 order placing capabilities. Some brokers are able to place 100 orders, some 20, some 50 etc. You can find out by testing on a demo account or asking their support staff about the maximum order size their MT4 can accept.
Example:
If the broker allows you to place 100 orders, then you should set the grid value to 49 or 50 grid. It will place 49 or 50 sell/buy stop and buy/sell limit trades, for a total of 100 orders.

I highly recommend you try it out in the demo first. Give it a try first and then please give me some feedback. I appreciate it.

TP = Take profit when the grid is profitable (close the grid)
SL = Stop loss when grid position loses (close grid)
C = it will close the grid
Breakeven function
1.Grid open
2. You clicked the green break-even button
3. The grid has only 1 open position at the beginning
4. Next, the market executes some of your pending orders.
5. When you have >=2 orders executed + breakeven button is green = BREAKEVEN function starts working.
You can also set the breakeven function to run when there are >=X active orders.
So there will be 3 parameters
Parameter 1) Use breakeven? (Boolean value)
Parameter 2) Breakeven amount (double amount $$$)
Parameter 3) X triggers breakeven after opening an order (integer)

New fix

Hello, your username, thank you very much for providing EA. Can you trade any lot size? I prefer to trade with 0.1 lots. I am fully aware of the risks of grid trading, but I believe that as long as there are sufficient funds, 0.1 lot can be successfully traded. thank you and the best rgds

{quote} Just as promised. Version 1.4 Additional updates. Inputs in EA settings are now more user friendly or should I say more descriptive {image} If you find bugs please let me know. If you do this, please provide a screenshot of the problem. Thank you, I appreciate it! Best regards your name {file}

{quote} In the EA properties or settings you must set the value of "How many stop/limit orders per grid" to a value greater than 0. If you set it to 0, then you will only open the opposite position trade without any stop/limit orders and therefore no way to hedge. Judging from the screenshot I shared, I accidentally set the value to 0, which may have caused the confusion. So here's a better screenshot. Please note this is just for example {image}
Version 1.4 [Version 1.3 is included in version 1.4 and has been skipped. You can find version 1.3 on page 2]

Version 1.7 [What a jump! ] Too many to list. I will update later.
Please take some time to plan through the thread. Thanks

Too lazy to update the homepage
