Tokyo/London/New York opening strategy

author EAcpu | 2 reads | 0 comments |
I have been trading for the past few weeks because I was looking for a strategy where I could trade around the same time every day to avoid overtrading. I saw this strategy back in 2008.
I hope to revive this strategy on this forum because it can be very profitable to go with today's trends in major financial cities like Tokyo/London and New York. When the big dog traders sit down to trade around 9am during the opening hours, you will see a huge change in volatility as I am sure if you have ever traded during these times you will realize this.

I charted the last 8 hours on a 15 minute chart and plotted the highs and lows of the Tokyo trading session and once the price broke above these, that was my entry point.

I use (GBP/USD EUR/USD) when opening in London and New York and USD/JPY when opening in Tokyo

I'm excited to improve the rules and basics to make this strategy more predictable, so any ideas or improvements please feel free to post

Enough said, here are the screenshots from yesterday's London and New York openings and you can see that both openings saw strong downtrends

I like to take my first profit at 30 pips and then use a trailing stop of 15 pips on my second order

About 50% of the time you will get the perfect deal, the others require some care and shorten your losses

I have attached the indicator I found, just change the time to the period you want to trade, for example 00:00 - 08:00 Gmt London session

Hopefully whoever created this is now a millionaire and no longer appears on trading forums haha
