15-Minute Time-Based Strategy - MT4/MT5 Resources
Disclaimer: This is an idea to be developed. I'm currently testing this livestream ahead of time.
Hello everyone,
I've been thinking of a way to get in and out of the market in 15 minutes or less. Alas, I settled on 15 minutes because prices can fluctuate normally during this time, but normally I would accept a 10 pip stop loss. The great thing about this strategy is that it is time-based, so every 15 minutes you can exit the trade, or enter the trade, or both. 15 minute deal...sounds good. Again, this is just more theories I'm testing. This is by no means tried and true, just something that came to mind a few days ago. Of course, this will work better during a trend, but the only condition for entry is that there is a trend, so I think the probability of entry is high.
what do you need
1 minute simple moving average (15,30,45,60,120,240,480)
I recommend EUR/JPY
Stop Loss/Stop Loss = 10 pips Profit/Loss = 20 pips
Enter
Marked every 15 minutes. Scale the chart so that it displays 15-minute intervals. Enter times as 8:15, 8:30, 8:45, 9:00, etc... I'm sorry if you didn't get it
All SMAs must be upward sloping. Go long. All SMAs must be downward sloping . Short
quit
When your T/P is reached, or at the end of every 15 minutes.
Also, if you get another signal in the next 15 minutes and you want to hold on, I would keep the current position, move your S/L to 10 pips from the next 15 minute entry, and move your T/P to 20 pips from the new entry (technically, this is a new trade).
Sometimes I will use Fibonacci to add to my position after a loss. So, for example, if I put in 1,000 units the first time and lose, I lose 1,000 units, then if I lose again, it's 2,000 units, then 3,000 units, 5,000 units, 8,000 units, 13,000 units, and so on. However, I have yet to lose more than once in a row.
