Random Trading EA with success - MT4/MT5 resources
Out of boredom I made this 72 liner, a very basic random trader.
Here’s how it works:
- Buy trade reaches TP or SL
- Next is selling...
- Than buying again etc.
Currently I have this EA running backtests and interestingly it works haha
The backtest is run like this:
- Tickstory 4 Year EURUSD includes correct commissions and swaps, approaching 4GB file size limit
- Batch 0.1
- Optimize TP and SL from 1 to 500 respectively
It seems that the backtest will take more than 30 hours to run. The best result so far is: net profit 5800, DD 26%
Interestingly, if I optimize the EA like a neuron network to trade the next 30 days forward by optimizing TP/SL on the last 30 (or 60/90) days, it gives very good results. So if you're basically optimizing every day to prepare yourself for the next 24 hours of trading, it might even be useful in some way.
