Richard Demille Wyckoff Method
It's been a while since I've posted a new post. Here I find myself striving to contribute better.
A little about me:
My trading profile
I started trading Forex a few years ago when I realized that I had very few stocks to day trade as I didn't have enough capital to trade unlimited round trips in the stock market. I quickly joined a trading forum/chat room. I started learning as much as I could about everything I could about trading. Free videos, free webinars, and free pump and dump stocks (I haven't even touched these, I'm just here to learn the different tools for trading the market), to say the least. When I realized I didn't have the minimum funds in my account for day trader status. I did more research and got introduced to Forex.
My introduction to foreign exchange
I started looking for more information about this Forex. Long story short, it introduced me to babypips (from which I learned everything I knew about trading at the time). So I found that with leverage I could trade currencies with very little money.
My foreign exchange trading experience
I ended up opening my first demo account. Was doing great at this until I realized about 3 months later I was ready to open a new account (big mistake). I tried systems, various indicators, this, that, and all, just to ruin my account. Emotions are too high, don't know how to use leverage, lack patience. I opened another account, a bigger account, $2K, brought it down to about $700, then I brought it back up again to $2001K, I was happy, I thought I finally understood the big picture. In less than a few weeks, my account went from $700 to $2000. OMG OMG I thought I was Mr. Hot Mom...LOL; however, a few weeks later, much to my dismay and feeling so humbled...I withdrew my account to $500 because I was too cocky, over-leveraged, and over-traded. It took me a full year and a half of Forex trading to reach loser status. Distraught, angry, furious, spending thousands of hours staring at charts, searching for the holy grail of trading that I couldn't accept reality and my tendency to become disillusioned with.
Trading was a turning point for me.
After so much frustration, I decided to move away from indicators and sentiment and decided to really understand the market for what it really was. I have a friend who trades with me over Skype and we share thoughts and ideas. We were both fed up with this and one day I told him... man, I'm fed up with this. I needed to take about a month off to collect my thoughts and focus on how to study the charts and understand what the market was actually doing. Seeing things through smoke and mirrors. My friend agreed and said he would do the same thing. We stay in touch and try to mentor each other. (I am a self-motivated trader and so is he. We never paid for training except for the money we lost)...I learned PA on FF, on the internet, and everywhere I could think of. I'm ready to start trading again...
This is the end my friend
I called my friend and said I was going to start trading again and that I was ready. I said I was naked trading (only pricing charts, no indicators). When I threw away all my indicators and started trading again, I realized something was wrong with my trading (besides being overleveraged). I actually started to understand what the market was really like. I showed a friend how I started trading and had great success. Not financial success, but transactional success. I told him that I lowered my leverage and started trading a new smaller account and trading much smaller lots. Here is an example of the chart I showed him and sent him many examples of these trades I was doing:
So he started seeing my entries and he said man, how and what do you do to make these trades and I said this is how I started to look at the market. He answered well and looked like Wyckoff. Someone asked me who was that? He answered Jack Wyckoff. Look up at him. So I looked him up and to my dismay I saw Jack Wyckoff's trading method chart. I'll post these in my next reply to give a brief overview of who he is.
